Privacy Policy for Family Calendar

Overview

Family Calendar is a personal dashboard app that displays weather forecasts and Google Calendar events. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data.

Data We Access

Location

If you enable GPS, your device's coordinates are sent directly to the weather provider you selected (Open-Meteo, OpenWeatherMap, or AccuWeather) to retrieve local forecasts. Your coordinates are cached locally on your device only and are never transmitted to any server we operate.

Google Calendar

If you connect Google Calendar, the app requests read-only access to display your family's events on screen. Events are cached locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server other than Google's own APIs.

Chore Chart

If you enable the chore chart, the following data is stored in your Google Drive AppData folder (private to your Google account, not visible in Google Drive):

• Children's names

• Chore titles, schedules, and allowance amounts

• Chore completion records

• Weekly sign-off history

This data is stored exclusively in your own Google account and is never accessed by or transmitted to any server we operate. You can delete it at any time by disconnecting the app's Google Drive access in your Google Account settings.

Weather API Keys

If you enter a weather API key, it is stored locally on your device in encrypted storage and is only ever used to make requests directly to the weather provider you chose.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information

• We do not use analytics or crash reporting tools

• We do not serve advertisements

• We do not use third-party tracking SDKs

• We do not transmit your data to any server we operate

Third-Party Services

The app communicates directly with the following third-party services on your behalf:

• Google Calendar API — to read your calendar events (Google Privacy Policy)

• Google Drive API — used to store chore chart data in your own Google account (Google Privacy Policy)

• Open-Meteo — free weather provider, no account required (Open-Meteo Privacy Policy)

• OpenWeatherMap — optional weather provider (OpenWeatherMap Privacy Policy)

• AccuWeather — optional weather provider (AccuWeather Privacy Policy)

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for family home display use. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
